We leave Chiang Mai direction north and visit an Elephant Camp. Here you will see an amazing show. After we will take an Elephant-Ride into the jungle,riding about one hour we will reach a Lisu-Hilltribe Village,from here we start River-Rafting on a Bamboo-Raft.When we reach the next village,we get some fun with Ox-Cart Riding through the village. Lunch is included. On our way back to Chiang Mai we have a short stop at an orchid-farm.

Mae Hong Son guided sightseeing trip

Mae hong son guided tour2 days+1 night; You leave Chiang Mai  early morning and visit an orchidfarm on the way. After we stop at the local market Mae Malai.From here our way will bring as to  the forestry Tham Lod,a large limestone cave with a wide stream running through,continue to the fish cave where thousand of carps live undisturbed. After breakfast,we visit the morning market Sai Yud.Many Hill tribe people come every morning,selling their goods.  Then we take a boat-trip on the river Pai to see a  Long-Neck Hill tribe village.Lunch at a local restaurant,continue to visit Wat Chong Klang + Wat Chong Kham,there are over 30 wooden dolls taken from Burma in the previous century. 1 day trekking trip in Chiang mai

Leaving Chiang Mai, we drive to an elephant camp and enjoy Elephant-Riding about 1 hour into the jungle. After, a short trek (30-40 min.) will bring us to a Meo-Hill tribe-Village, we have a look to their daily life, walking back (40-50 min.) to our car.Lunch in a local restaurant. We go on to visit a Karen-Hill tribe-Village. We relax at a cozy waterfall (don’t forget your swimming dress) and start a wonderful trip

Some background information about trekking in the North. These are tours into the beautiful mountains visiting the hill tribe villages. 3 day Trekking in the Area of Mae Taeng

Into the trekking area of Mae Taeng we pass curvey mointain roads with fantastic view. We stop for lunch at a beautiful Waterfall and have a short  Stop at the Hot  Spring, here we can relax for a while in the hot mineral water. The following trek (3-3,5 hour) bring us  to a Karen-village, here we have dinner and stay overnight. After breakfast we walk (about 3 hours) through the dense forest visiting another Karen village. Before we start Elephant-Riding (2 Hours) we have lunch at the village. Riding through the jungle we reach a Lahu-Village were we stay overnight. Next  morning , after breakfast, we start Bamboo-Rafting (2,5-3 hour) to reach the last spot of our tour. A Shan-Village is waiting with lunch  for us. We have some time to explore the village and the beautiful landscape, then return to Chiang Mai. 2200 Baht/Person .

Status: Native.
Rare in its natural environment with main populations around the Chao Phraya  and MaeKlong river systems in Thailand. Due to its size a very strong fighter which sticks to the bottom, battles can go on for hours. For anglers fishing in Thailand day or multi day stingray fishing trips are recommended for this monster fish. Stocked at Dreamlake in December 2003 : 2 juvenile fish 25 inch long. The Max weight is possibly 600 kg which would make it the worlds largest freshwater fish.

Status: Native. Very common all  over Thailand, it breeds in almost any size of water body. With patience and good casting can be readily taken on top water frogs and poppers. Status:Native.Extreme, fierce and aggressive predator. Snakehead fishing in Thailand can be very exciting and Chiang mai has several great fishing destinations to meet the top predator fish in Thailand’s waters. The Giant Snakehead is one of the most popular game fish in Thailand for Lure fishing and the favourite baits are topwater frogs, poppers, buzzbaits and pencils. The action is explosive when your lure is hit and unless your drag is very tight down you could find yourself snagged hard and fast in a split second.

For the patient and skilled angler fishing in Thailand then Fly fishing for these species with mainly dry flies can be productive. Giant Gourami is a cautious feeder but will also take corn and bread mix baits. The Giant Gourami is  a very desirable table fish in Thailand due to its chunky and soft white meat and good plate fitting size.

Status: Native and critically endangered in his natural habitat, the Mekong River. It is one of the largest freshwater fish worldwide growing to max size of 300 kg +. Because of his enormous growing rates  and fighting power the Mekong Cat is stocked to many waters. In the wild it is a rare fish on the verge of extinction due to over fishing and dam building projects which block the migration routes to its spawning grounds. We catch him regularly at Dreamlake Fishing Resort and Paradise Lake fishing park in Chiang mai sized up to 40+kg. Average 10-20 kg.
