Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Common carp Cyprinus carpio in ThailandName: Common carp (Cyprinus carpio).
Staus: Native.
Common Carp are found in various lakes and resorts in Thailand. Subsequently they naturally occur in many rivers and ponds. Surprisingly anglers fishing in Thailand will find that the Common carp don’t reach such large sizes as their cousins stocked in European waters. In fact they are very small in comparison. A catch of 8-10kg is already a trophy catch. Best baits: Certainly worms are always good to use for this species. However they will also take bread baits and rice flour mix. Stocked in Dreamlake and considered as a rare catch.
