These beautiful looking catfish have been introduced to many fishing lakes in Thailand for example Dreamlake Fishing Resort. Thai’s like to call it the Plah Tiger. The Tiger Shovelnose Catfish (Sorubim lima) will take many kinds of baits for example live baits, dead baits, earthworms and chopped meats. Certainly a very good fighter which will stick to the bottom and make charging runs to snags. Generally regarded as a nocturnal feeder. Considered as a very rare catch at Dreamlake.
