Good memories – Lure fishing at the reservoirs in Northern Thailand

Today I like to share my memories when I started fishing for ‘Giant Snakehead’ and ‘Jungle Perch’ in the wild nature.

Please notice that all of this photos were taken by myself and by some really good friends on our boat tours about 12-20 ago.

Lure fishing in the wild was always very challenging and more or less only attractive for anglers with very good casting abilities. In the old days the fishing was still good with a fair chance to catch some fish on a day tour.

This times are gone forever, especially at reservoirs which are relatively easy to reach and where everyone with Thai language skills can find a long-tail boat for rent.

I stopped fishing myself at this places some years ago, sadly the chance to catch a fish is nowadays very poor. By far too many local anglers and commercial fishermen….but hopefully you will enjoy the pics from the good old times.
